The ASP.NET Web Matrix Project aims to deliver a free tool that will allow everyone to start developing ASP.NET applications. You can download it for free from the Web Matrix web site The download is only 1.2Mb but a lot of features are packed into the space. WYSIWYG editing, database tools, XML web services support, file management and even a development web server are all included! The system also links to ASP.NET community sites, forums and mailing lists, allowing answers to development problems to be found quickly.
